In 1968 Thomas A. Havens was approached by a friend to bid on the installation of a new sewer system for the city of Braymer, Missouri. Tom was an entreprenur at heart with a construction background and jumped at the opportunity. He completed that project and never looked back. Over the next 40 years the company he started has become a leader in their industry.

Steve K. Havens, Tom’s son, joined the company in 1973 and today is the president of one of Kansas City's foremost heavy utility contractors.

With the addition of Eric Havens in 2003, the third Havens generation is hard at work keeping Havens Construction a regional leader in the installation of water mains, sanitary and storm sewers in private developments, commercial site work and public works projects.
